Established in February 1999, Sri Venkata Sai Medical College & Hospital, Mahabubnagar, has grown from a 300-bed institution into a comprehensive centre for medical education, advanced clinical training and patient care. Over 25 years, SVS has become an important part of the region's healthcare and medical education landscape, with a strong emphasis on clinical exposure, experienced faculty and service to the community.

The institution provides broad clinical exposure through its multidisciplinary teaching hospital, supported by 14 operation theatres, including 6 modular OTs and a well-established dialysis centre. Its clinical and academic infrastructure includes advanced services and facilities such as Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, Robotic assisted knee replacement facility, Advanced cath lab and 3 Tesla MRI alongside a dedicated skills lab environment for hands-on clinical and surgical training.

SVS ETHOS is an intercollegiate academic and clinical learning platform designed to bring medical education beyond the conventional boundaries of the classroom. Rooted in the principles of Education, Training, Hands-On Learning and Skills, ETHOS seeks to create an environment where medical students can transform theoretical knowledge into practical understanding and meaningful clinical experience.
Medical education extends beyond textbooks and examinations. It demands the ability to observe, reason, communicate, collaborate and respond effectively to real-world clinical situations. SVS ETHOS provides a platform for students to develop these competencies through structured workshops, academic events, scientific presentations, clinical case discussions and intellectually engaging competitions.
The platform brings together MBBS students from different medical institutions, encouraging them to learn from experienced professionals, interact with peers and exchange perspectives across institutions. Through hands-on clinical training and skill-based workshops, participants are given opportunities to experience the practical dimensions of medicine while strengthening their confidence and competence.
Alongside clinical learning, ETHOS places strong emphasis on academic excellence and scientific thinking. Events such as case presentations, symposiums, medical quizzes, debates and e-poster presentations encourage students to analyse clinical problems, communicate scientific ideas and engage with medicine beyond rote learning.
